Howard Sililoto

Giving up is not in the TEAM Academy's vocabulary............

True to our TEAM Academy's ethos, we train hard and we play hard and we never give up! We would like to acknowledge Howard Sililoto who is "proping his way to the top".

Howard joined the academy in September 2009 and since then he has inspired us all with his work ethics and leading from the front with his 'power house' commitment to training.
He is definitely a force to be reckoned with and will never back down from any challenges whether it be on or off the field. This can be said also for  any challenges set in our training programme.

With this sort of work ethic and talent, he was given the opportunity to train with the Auckland development squad and also just missed out on the final selection for the New Zealand Under 20 Colts squad for the Under 20 World Cup. Where one door closes, another opens and for Howard, this opportunity came in the way of trialling for the Under 20 Manu Samoa World Cup trials in Samoa. He is trialing for the final spot this Friday the 23rd April 2010 and we wish the big guy all the best and believe that he will leave no stone unturned to make the final cut.

Gafatasi Su'a

Hitting the ground running and leaving nothing unturned is Gafatasi (Nafa). Gafa is out to make something of his life and knows that hard work and good choices will pull him to his vision.

Being one of the younger TEAM Academy athletes he shows strength beyond his years and leads by example. Gafa has set his goals very high and very clear, working his way up the ranks towards the big goal at the end, Professional sports status.

Gafa is the Mt Albert Grammers Hooker and is proving to be more than your average player, he also represented Auckland in the under 14's,16's and 18's and knows he has a chance of going all the way.

With this great foundation set, he has a bright future ahead of him. So keep up the awesome work brother and remember you are master of your own destiny.

Silongoua Fotofili

Longo has been with TEAM Academy Ltd since the beginning, his strength unmeasureable and his speed uncaped. He is a player to keep an eye out for in the near future, he has been with the counties squad since he was sixteen and has just been recruited by the Cheifs Development which he aimed for this year.

He is the number 8 for Wesley College and is playing out of his skin, but as everyone knows Longo's standards are second to none.

Longo puts in the hours for his training, he is very focused, he is a team player and is a leader by affirmative action and words. Longo is a force to be reckoned with now and in the future.

Leon Patelesio

Leon, hard working and loyal to his commitments he has proven himself to be a vital athlete to TEAM Academy. Always being a true enforcer of mind over matter Leon is on his way back to being a contender for representative positions for Rugby.

Since the age of 12 Leon has made every Auckland Representative team right up to New Zealand Secondary Schools and this would be due to his up beat attitude, skills and awesome speed and I mean real speed. We are in the mean while aiming to increase what he has and add more to his abilities.

With all these attributes, being a natural leader and a real people person Leon has a bright future ahead of him in any area of his life. So keep up the attitude brother and the world will reward in ways you will never expect.
